Position Overview:
As a Bridge Officer, you play a vital role in vessel operations, partnering with the Master to ensure the safe, efficient management of the vessel, crew, and cargo. This role is critical in navigating the high seas with precision, overseeing safety measures, and complying with all applicable regulations and company standards. Career progression to Master positions is available for those who demonstrate exceptional leadership and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee bridge watch duties, ensuring the safe navigation of the vessel and compliance with all maritime laws and regulations.
- Coordinate daily vessel operations, including deck activities, voyage planning, and crew performance to ensure seamless and secure tasks.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and securing cargo, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations, company safety protocols, and environmental guidelines.
- Lead safety drills, maintain lifesaving equipment, and keep detailed records of safety inspections and emergency procedures.
- Monitor and maintain navigational equipment, charts, and logs to ensure they are operationally ready.
- Collaborate closely with all departments, particularly the engine room, to address operational and safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
- Valid U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) as a Master or Mate on vessels over 3,000 GT with full STCW Endorsements.*
- Minimum Junior DPO status.*
- Proficiency in vessel navigation systems, cargo handling, and safety equipment.
- Capability to manage deck operations and participate actively in emergency responses.

Engine room personnel are the backbone of the vessel’s mechanical functionality, collaborating with the Master to ensure the safety and performance of the vessel, cargo, crew, and environment. These professionals are responsible for the upkeep, repair, and smooth operation of engines, generators, and other essential mechanical systems, playing a key role in the vessel’s overall performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain all shipboard equipment, ensuring it functions optimally through diligent maintenance and repair.
- Keep detailed records and a working knowledge of all machinery, piping, tanks, and consumables.
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and securing of cargo and supplies in alignment with vessel limitations.
- Work alongside other departments, particularly the bridge, to address operational and safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- Valid U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential as an Engineer on vessels over 3,000 GT with full STCW Endorsements.
- Strong understanding of vessel machinery, cargo handling, and safety equipment.

- Perform loading, unloading, and securing of cargo, equipment, and supplies.
- Handle sanitation, maintenance, and painting duties to uphold vessel standards.
- Manage mooring lines during docking and undocking operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and order across the vessel’s deck and common areas.
- Coordinate with other departments, particularly the engine room and bridge, to address vessel and safety matters.
Qualifications:
- Valid U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential as an Ordinary or Able-Bodied Seaman with STCW Endorsements and a Medical Certificate.*
